Objetivos
On successfully completing the course objectives at this level, learners will have the ability to competently demonstrate the capacity to deal with routine situations and express themselves appropriately.
In common situations such as greeting and conversing with people, you will take helpful notes.
You will be able to understand detailed instructions and advice and specify the contribution people in the organization make and the duties they carry out.
 
Contenido
Sesión 1:
- Contribute effectively in meetings and keep up a casual conversation fluently and appropriately.

Sesión 2:
- Listen and respond politely to agree details of meetings and arrangements.

Sesión 3:
- Scan texts for relevant information and understand detailed instructions and advice.

Sesión 4:
- Make notes and write standard correspondence.

Sesión 5:
- Can understand most correspondence, reports and factual product literature he/she is likely to come across.

Sesión 6:
- Can deal with all routine requests for goods or services from professionals and contacts.

Sesión 7:
- Check the form, sound and spelling of the terms practiced is adequate and keep a record of the pronunciation.

Sesión 8:
- Understands different cultural situations and is sensitive to the people around them.

Sesión 9:
- Can describe the layout and purpose of common correspondence, reports and factual product literature he/she is likely to come across.

Sesión 10:
- Can distinguish professional language and the language of informal relationships appropriately.

Sesión 11:
- Typical situation - new network technology. In this real life scenario, the student will be listening to a few co-workers speak about a new network system they will be presenting.

Sesión 12:
- Dialogue - general business. In this dialogue, students will hear common questions that are asked in many business environments.

Sesión 13:
- Use appropriate language to describe typical duties and responsibilities at work.

Sesión 14:
- Can take and pass on most messages that are likely to require attention during a working day.

Sesión 15:
- Face to face and on the phone.

Sesión 16:
- Asking for and giving personal and work-related information at meetings.

Sesión 17:
- Solving common problems, making plans and confirming arrangements.

Sesión 18:
- Job interview: talk about ways to find a job and the interview process.

Sesión 19:
- Common vocabulary: to apply for a job, fill in a form, work history, impressive, gaps in employment, to take a year out/gap year, to do voluntary work/work experience, qualifications.

Sesión 20:
- Role-play a short job interview

Sesión 21:
- Responsibilities: practice using: (don’t) have to, can/can’t (permission) to talk about the things we have to do at work.

Sesión 22:
- More verb/noun partnerships: meet a deadline, target, prepare for a business trip, wear protective clothing.

Sesión 23:
- Company rules: in this class we practice explaining the company rules to a new colleague using the imperative.

Sesión 24:
- An introduction to some common verb/noun partnerships: arrive at work, wear a suit, eat a sandwich, talk to friends, drink a glass of water, work, call (telephone), write an email/report, read an email/report.
